What is Freestay Caribbean and who are the people behind it? The program is designed to entice cruise ship passengers to return to the islands for a land-based vacation. Like the doubloons handed out during the famous Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans, Tropical Shipping is minting special coins designed with a famous landmark or logo of each island. The coins also include the web address of our site, www.freestaycaribbean.com, and a US toll-free (800) number for the island’s Ministry of Tourism office. These coins will represent specific values for extended stays and/or discounts at the properties featured on our website.
