Cozumel Country Club opened in September of 2001 and is the island’s first
golf course and one of the Riviera Maya's most challenging tests of golf.
This 6,734-yard, par 72 golf course winds through the Mayan jungle and the
native mangroves, wetlands and the natural habitats of the island. Cozumel
Country Club is located in the northern Hotel Zone, just 15 minutes from
the international pier and 10 minutes from Cozumel airport, making it
easily accessible to arriving guests.
Cozumel Country Club was designed by the Nicklaus Design Group. It took
five years to sculpt from the limestone, coral and saltwater marshes on the
Northwest end of the island. This wonderful golf course is environmentally
friendly, being carefully crafted from the surrounding mangroves and
marshlands to preserve its environmental integrity. Cozumel Country Club
is the first golf course in Mexico to receive certification in
Environmental Planning from the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, an
international program administered by Audubon International, designed to
help landowners preserve and enhance the environmental quality of their
property.
The Cozumel Country Club has formed partnership with several hotels on the
